After breakfast, we headed out for a city tour of areas we didn’t see early in the trip. First stop was the cemetery. I was very glad I went on my own as we didn’t spend that much time there and it was overcast. I did get to see Event’s monument. It was very simple. Our next stop was to the flower, a sliver statue that looked like a tulip. The rest of the tour was driving around the city. I am glad they broke the tour up into the two parts as it would have been very long if we would have done it all at once.
After the tour, some of us went out for some lunch. Then back to the hotel to get ready to leave. My Uber ride to the airport was quite an experience! The guy didn’t have a working trunk and put my stuff in the back seat and me in front, not good. Windows were wide open the whole time, thankfully, as he kept wiping his nose and didn’t have his mask on fully. He then kept asking me something in Spanish, unfortunately I couldn’t understand him and he didn’t understand me. Some how with the use of my translation app, I figured out he was wondering what I paid for the Uber ride. Interesting…. At one point, I wondered if I was going to make it to the airport. When we got there, I kept trying to tell him my flight left from terminal C, but he insisted that I should leave from terminal A as that was the international terminal. Fine, as long as I get dropped off at the airport! I ended up dragging my bags over to terminal C and then had to show armed guards my passport and ticket to get into the terminal. Interesting way to end the trip. 🙂
