After deciding to move from the Orlando area to the Gulf side of Florida, I looked at close to 50 houses before finding the one that came as close as I would get without going through the process of building custom again. I was super excited and started the contracting process, but then got the call that the sale of my house fell through. Super disappointing!!
After 2 months, I was back under contract on my house and it looked like the house I hoped to purchase in May was still available so we were going to head out again and take a look to make sure it was the one I wanted. There were also a few other houses in the Lakewood Ranch and Greyhawks Landing area to look at as well. But when confirming the appointment for the next day we were told the house I wanted went under contract. Seriously!! We decided to take a look anyhow, just incase the deal did not go through and the house next door was also for sale. So we went to look at it as well. It was a little bigger and a little more expensive thus I hadn’t been paying much attention to it previously. After rejecting the 5 other houses we looked at that day and looking at both houses in Parrish, I ended up moving forward with the house next door. The builder was open to negotiating on price, so all in all, I didn’t pay that much more and ended up with a more suitable house.
Looking forward to getting back to water views!
