September 30, 2002 – March 25, 2017
Maxx was born on September 30th, 2002. He came home shortly after Barney was put down, just before Christmas. The family was dragging since Barney had gone and we had convinced ourselves that Murray was lonely. Okay, I wanted a new puppy.
Enter Windy Knoll’s Maximus. Maxx for short. The kennel had two yellow labradors remaining and Maxx still seemed to be interested in people. Both were 12 weeks old and had already developed quite a streak of independence.
Maxx new how to sit and knew (well, sort of) the word “no”. He seemed quite interested in us so he was the selection. There are some who say that is a bad thing, where others say they select us.
Over the years, Maxx learned more than to sit and had his AKC CD and Good Citizenship titles as well as Rally titles. His mind and body eventually gave up and it was time to let him go.
