Happy Birthday to me! Travel day for most of us. Some of the group were headed home and others were off the the Galapagos Island. Jay and my flights didn’t leave until later so we headed off to Olavalo for the day with a driver, Bravo. First stop was a bird sanctuary where they had owls, hawks and condors. They did a bird show which was pretty cool, but we couldn’t understand anything they were saying as it was in Spanish with no English translation. From there we headed over to a crater and lagoon, Cuicochi. We took a boat tour in the lagoon and then hiked for about 2 hours. From there we headed over to a market that sold mainly fresh produce.
Our driver dropped us off at the airport and we were able to get dinner before we headed to our different flights. Overall a great way to spend New Years!
