Easily one of the most underrated wine regions in the world. Very early on during one of our tours someone stated that 95% of wine exported from South Africa is white. We knew Chenin Blanc was good here and there are all sorts of big wineries sending out Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, but Cinsault? Grenache? Un-oaked, old-vine stuff? Now all we need to do is get the South Africans to let go of the whole Pinotage experiment.
