It was another great day in Barcelona. Although we didn’t visit all of the places mentioned in the previous post, we did get to a couple. The picture is from the inside of the Sagrada Familia which is a church that Gaudi designed starting around 1884. The most unique characteristic as viewed in this picture are the columns designed like trees. The church is not yet complete and is scheduled to be done around 2026. After the church, we took a walk and found some food at an excellent tapas place (El Tapa Madre). Troy had the best pork ever and I had paella. Yum! Next we walked to the Arc de Triomf. An arch similar to Paris but not on a busy street, not as large and instead near a park. The park was very interesting, it had a “band” with a drummer, a guitarist & a saxophone / clarinet player sitting in a big circle that moved around the park (I will try and post a picture). They were pretty good. We then headed over to the Museum Picasso which holds some of his early work. Very interesting! The museum was down some very narrow streets so we walked around after we left the museum and saw some less tourist areas of Barcelona.
