Maine – 2001

In 2001 we headed to Maine and continued on north into Canada and Quebec.

Camden & Bar Harbor

We stayed in Camden on the way up to Bar Harbor.  You must go to Cappy’s for the chowder and some Ale.  Also (see hiking pictures), you must take a quick trip up to Mount Battie.  From there the view of Camden Harbor is awesome!  Bar Harbor has Acadia – what else do you need?

Lighthouses

2001 became the year of the lighthouse.  That fall we visited at least seven different lighthouses along the coast.  Starting from Casco Bay up to Arcadia there are dozens of light heads, but if you want to make it somewhere I guess you can’t see them all.
