Our final location, Madrid. How do you not love this city? The only way to respond to people who are determined to ask if you if you like Barcelona or Madrid better is to say – both, for different reasons. Before leaving Barcelona we made plans with with our new friends from L.A. to reconnect. Bryan and Erin made a southern track from Barcelona, where we took the northern route, both converging in Madrid. We agreed to bring a bottle of our favorite wine that we experienced throughout our travels. Prior to arrival we also finalized plans to meet with our friends Jose Pablo and Javier, both Madridians.
JP offered to meet at his apartment and the five of us gathered their to share our wine with snacks that JP provided. From there we headed out for dinner and drinks. Our second day was about oysters, wine and lunch (young lamb). We started out with a walking tour, then to San Miguel market and finally lunch.
We ended our trip with a final day of visiting the Sofia and Prada before meeting up Javier for a fantastic evening of tapas bar hopping.
