n 1884 Gaudi was commissioned to deliver upon the vision of Josep Bocabella. Gaudi did not see the completion of this sacred monument, dying by accident in 1926. The tragic Spanish civil war of the 1930’s destroyed many of Guadi’s plans and models but the monument is currently scheduled for completion around 2026.
