Murray was a gentle giant. We believe he was Labrador and Great Dane mix. I rescued Murray from the Humane Society when he was about 1 year old. He had reportedly been poorly treated including beaten with a frying pan. The name he came with was Charnie. Not knowing what that met, he got the name Murray from the tv series “Mad About You.”
Murray was lucky to meet many of the other boys. Murray and Barney became very good friends. Murray embraced Maxx when Barney was gone, and begrudgingly accepted Porter in his later years. Unfortunately, he did not get to meet Cinsault.
Murray developed a fatty tumor that ultimately blocked his bowels. He was losing his eyesight and sometimes simply stared off into nowhere for long periods of time. Sometimes you just have to know when it is time.
